Open Meet Category Definitions
| Targeted |
Officially targeted and regarded as essential, or 'strongly recommended' for specified groups of swimmers. Club entry. Coaches' passes purchased. Coach present at gala.
All swims for RSC swimmers at these galas will be recorded on the club's PBs and Rankings Lists, and results will also be published on the website and/or noticeboard. Unless you notice that your swim from any of these galas has been accidentally omitted, you should not need to do anything.

| Supported |
Not officially targeted, but recommended for some swimmers e.g. those seeking late county or Midland QTs. Club entry. Coaches' passes purchased. Coach may be present at gala.
All swims for RSC swimmers at these galas will be recorded on the club's PBs and Rankings Lists, and results will also be published on the website and/or noticeboard. Unless you notice that your swim from any of these galas has been accidentally omitted, you should not need to do anything.
|
| Unsupported |
Advertised by club, via noticeboard and/or website. Possibly suitable for a few swimmers. Independent entries. No coaches' passes purchased by club (parent's responsibility). No coach at gala.
Any swims from these galas will be recorded on our PBs and Rankings Lists, but it is the responsibility of the swimmer (or their parent) to notify both Sharon Hughes ( webeditor@redditchswim.org.uk ) and Chris Britt ( coach@redditchswim.org.uk ) of their time(s), as soon as possible after the swim. Details should be provided in writing, preferably by e-mail, stating the date, venue, competition, pool length and, for each swim, the stroke, distance and time. You should also provide evidence to verify these details (e.g. a copy of the results sheet) or a link to a web page where the results can be viewed online. Without this information, PBs may not get added to our spreadsheets. Do not, however, just provide information about PBs swum, as it is important for your coaches to know about every competitive swim you do.
Please also remember to tell your coach(es) in advance if you are planning to swim at any competition not listed on our fixtures list |
