THANK YOU

We might not have had our biggest team of helpers there on Saturday but we still managed to raise a fantastic £412.50.  I would like to thank all of the helpers who came along, some only having joined RSC in recent months.  A big thank you also to Morrisons for alllowing RSC into the store and to their very generous customers.  Well done.

  BOLDMERE WATER CARNIVAL

Stechford Cascades, Birmingham - 30th June & 1st July
Following the cancellation of the Haden Hill Open and postponement of the Stourbridge Open, this open meet will now be a 'supported' competition.

Swimmers aged 9 years and over in the Development, Junior Competition and Senior Competition squads with appropriate entry times should consider entering this meet.  If you are not sure if you should enter, or which events to do, please speak to Chris or your squad coach

Full details can be found on the Boldmere SC website, at http://www.boldmereswimmingclub.co.uk/carnival.php

WHO SHOULD SWIM?

The second day of the Boldmere Water Carnival clashes with the WCSA County Relays at Gloucester.  It is very important that all swimmers likely to be needed for the relays do not enter any events at Boldmere on the Sunday.  Age groups for the relays are 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16, open and masters.

The Boldmere Water Carnival is a Level 3 meet, and is most suitable for those swimmers who had hoped to compete in May at the Stourbridge B Open, plus some of our older swimmers at or below County standard.  Performance Squad swimmers should not enter the Boldmere meet unless Chris has agreed beforehand  that they can swim  a few selected events - but they will probably have to avoid the Sunday sessions.

The Boldmere Water Carnival is a 'supported' meet rather than a targeted meet - so, although we will have someone coaching/supervising our swimmers, there is no pressure on any swimmers to enter.

Entries are being accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.  Please get your entries to Chris by this Wednesday evening (9th May) or submit your entry independently.

  Tesco Schools & Clubs Vouchers

Redditch Swimming Club are once again collecting the Tesco Schools and Clubs vouchers.  If you wish to support the club please pass on any saved vouchers to Sonia Britt on a Monday at Abbey Stadium or Tuesday at Kingsley pool.  In the past we have used these to purchase stopwatches for our club championships.  We currently have a number of vouchers banked and if we can gather enough then there are larger items we may be able to consider exchanging the vouchers for.  All vouchers 1 - 100 gratefully received.

New Monthly Fees - With Effect From 1st April 2012

At the beginning of the year the Club communicated that the annual ASA and RSC membership fee renewal was due, but because of the changes of pool, squads and available swimming time we would postpone the monthly fee change until April 2012 to allow us to review all our costs and address the fees  accordingly........
