2011 - ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR
REDDITCH SWIMMING CLUB
Once again, the Club achieved great success in 2011 – almost certainly exceeding what we have achieved at any point in the Club’s long history.
Despite all of our achievements, including one swimmer being awarded the ‘Founder’s Prize’, for the County’s swimmer of the year, we are certainly not going to just sit back and congratulate ourselves! We have moved significantly forward in the past couple of years, and our aims are to continue this progress. (Highlights are listed below.)
Much of our success has been built on early talent identification, in learn-to-swim sessions and schools’ galas, and good development of swimmers with potential to become competitive swimmers. We are always happy to take a look at anyone who might be interested, and will also allow a few free trial sessions while they decide if joining the club is right for them.
We continue to work closely with City of Birmingham SC, where we now have 13 swimmers in their various squads. These include three members of Birmingham’s new Development Squad.
There are exciting times ahead and 2012 should be both challenging and rewarding for everyone at the Club.
