ASA NATIONAL YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS
Well done to Paul Wilkes and Braiden Hartles on their excellent swims in the recent ASA National Youth Championships in Sheffield.
Paul, who has been a regular qualifier at Nationals for several years now, competed in the 100 fly this year. His time of 57.68 placed him 25th in the 19/over age group.
Braiden, competing at his first National Championships, swam in four events - the 50, 100, 200 and 400 metres freestyle. Some superb swims got Braiden through to the 15/16 years age group finals of both the 50 and 100m freestyle. In the 100m final, a time of 53.03 gave him 9th place.
In the 50m final, Braiden bettered his own Worcester County record - swimming a fantastic time of 24.22 to secure 8th place.

ASA National Age Group Championships
Well done to Issy Griffiths and Megan Moss who
both swam at the ASA National Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield last week.
Issy (14) had another very successful competition, once again returning from Nationals as a medal winner - taking two silvers, in the 400m IM and 800m freestyle events. Issy, after recent success in an international competition in Portugal, also qualified for no fewer that four other finals - in the 200m IM (10th), 200m free (6th), 200m fly (7th) and
400m free (4th). An amazing achievement
Meg (also 14) swam in the two breaststroke events, finishing 30th in the 200m and 35th in the 100m.
Results are here.
There was also success for one of our former
swimmers, Rebecca Winn (13), who finished 4th in the final of the 200m breaststroke.
